Creturner Group and a US-based company enter into an agreement to collaborate on climate offset sales.

MAR

Creturner and a US-based company in the travel industry have agreed on developing sales cooperation. The terms of the cooperation are such that the counterpart may act as a reseller of Creturner’s climate offset services to their end customers in the B2B segment. The annual value or volumes is not yet estimated by Creturner or the counterpart.

Creturner believes this is an agreement of significant strategic importance for sales opportunities targeting clients in the USA and Canada as Creturner anchors with a trusted and well-connected player in the North American travel industry. Following an initial pilot period where the commercial adaptation is put to the test, a forward-looking assessment will be made. Further details and expected implications will be released as they are finalized which is expected to take place within 40 days.

The travel industry offers a large, global market for services such as those provided by Creturner, and the counterpart is a traveltech-company engaged in the core framework of this ecosystem with a portfolio of services that cater to the industry. The worlds four largest airline companies (by flown passenger kilometres) are based in the USA and the country is undoubtedly of great interest for Creturner, given that Creturner’s customer reach is at present limited to Scandinavia and Belgium. The successful implementation of this agreement could have significant implications for Creturner’ revenue growth prospects as well as reducing the carbon footprint of air travel of the clients engaged.

Both companies see opportunities for development and are focused on rapidly establishing sales with the goal of becoming an integral part of the customer value chain that actively makes a difference.

Creturner will provide an update to its shareholders as this work progresses and expects to report on further developments within 40 days.

Creturner Group AB is a group with two business areas within environmental technology.

The digital part is a technical computing business that is expanding to strengthen its long-term potential and create a presence in the rapidly growing market for computing capabilities. The company has its own facilities in Sweden with in-house energy production to reduce raw material costs and environmental impact.

The environmental part offers corporate customers an efficient and permanent method to offset their operations. The method is based on Bio-CSS (Carbon Capture and Storage), which involves converting residual biomass into the element carbon and storing it to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Corporate customers of Creturner can then buy carbon offsets in the same way as they traditionally offset climate change, for example by planting trees. Unlike tree planting, Creturners approach is immediate, permanent, and clearly measurable. Monitoring is done through linked smart contracts that give the customer insight into the outcomes and future financial returns from the environmental investment.
