The purpose of the collaboration is to continue building clinical understanding and evaluating the clinical use of CLS' Tranberg^® Thermal Therapy System in a non-sponsored research collaboration conducted under standard commercial terms.

Under the collaboration, NCI will assess the clinical utility of MRI/Ultrasound Fusion-guided thermal ablation of prostate tissue and prostate cancer using the Tranberg system, including potential characterization of immune-related effects in blood and tissue samples following ablation procedures.
