Örnsköldsvik, Sweden - 11 March 2025 - Clavister, a leader in European cybersecurity for mission-critical applications, today announced it has been awarded a 68 MSEK contract - with an option to bring the total value of the contract to 96 MSEK - to supply its Clavister CyberArmour products to BAE Systems Hägglunds for integration into the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) platform.

Upon the terms of the new agreement, BAE Systems Hägglunds will deploy Clavister CyberArmour - Clavister’s military-grade, AI-powered next-generation firewall - on CV90 vehicles destined for deployment in a Nordic nation. The contract, valued at 68 MSEK, spans a three-year period, with initial deliveries scheduled to commence in early 2027. The agreement also includes an option for additional Clavister CyberArmour products which, if exercised, brings the total contract value to 96 MSEK.

BAE Systems Hägglunds, part of BAE Systems - the largest defence contractor in Europe - designs and manufactures the CV90, a state-of-the-art infantry fighting vehicle widely regarded as one of the most successful IFVs in Europe. The CV90 has been adopted by multiple European armed forces and has secured several significant procurement contracts in recent years. The latest version of the CV90 is a highly digitalised platform, integrating advanced battlefield management systems and networked capabilities. As modern military operations become increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure, robust cyber protection is essential to safeguard both the vehicle and its crew against sophisticated cyber threats.

As part of this contract, Clavister will deliver its CyberArmour RSG-400 and RSW-400 models, which are already in active deployment within the CV90 platform through previous agreements. These cybersecurity solutions have been specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of modern military environments, ensuring secure communication, resilient system integrity, and protection against evolving cyber threats.

John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister, commented: "We are thrilled to further strengthen our partnership with BAE Systems Hägglunds through this new contract. As nations continue to expand and upgrade their CV90 fleets, they face an increasingly complex cyber threat landscape. Our highly integrated cyber defence solutions are designed to provide the highest level of security, ensuring the operational resilience of these critical platforms in the most demanding battlefield conditions."

This latest contract underscores Clavister’s position as a trusted cybersecurity provider for defence applications and highlights the growing importance of integrated cyber protection in modern military platforms.
