Castellum prepares for CEO succession
CEO Joacim Sjöberg has informed the Chair of the Board of Castellum that he wishes to step down from his position as CEO in 2026. The Board of Castellum and Joacim Sjöberg has therefore today agreed that Joacim Sjöberg will leave his position as President and CEO of Castellum once a new CEO has taken office. In order to ensure an orderly succession, Joacim Sjöberg will remain employed by Castellum until 31 December 2026.
The Board of Castellum will now initiate a process for the recruitment of Joacim Sjöberg's successor. Joacim Sjöberg, who has been the President and CEO of Castellum since March 2023, acting CEO since January 2023 and before that a member of the Board since 2020, will remain in his position until a successor takes office, and will thereafter and until 31 December 2026 be employed by Castellum as Senior Advisor.
"Joacim was appointed CEO following a time of turmoil, both within Castellum, with several changes to the Executive Management in a short period of time, and on the global markets. The combination of Joacim's knowledge of Castellum, the industry and the capital markets, and his force of power and drive during this time of financial instability have been crucial for the stability that Castellum has now gained. With a focus on Castellum's long-term future we will now initiate an orderly succession of the CEO position, and I feel secure in the knowledge that Joacim will remain in his post until a new CEO takes office, and that he will contribute to continued stability until the end of December 2026", says the Chair of the Board, Per Berggren.
