“I am very excited to announce that we have signed a JCDA with one of the top 10 global date producers. Based upon our pre-study findings, this date producer could generate up to 3,000 metric tons of a soluble fibre rich extract per annum using Carbiotix NutraCycle process. By comparison, the top 10 global wine producer with whom we recently signed a JCDA can produce 12,000 tonnes of soluble fibre extract per year from its grape pomace side stream. These volumes represent attractive business opportunities for the wine and date producer, Carbiotix, local F&B CPG companies and other potential CAPEX partners.

As was previously communicated, it is Carbiotix ambition to earn an average 0.50 USD per kg extract over the lifetime of a multi-party license and operator agreement, offering the same value creation for side-stream owners and a 50% discount for F&B CPG partners to access fibre, protein and antioxidant rich extracts compared to at-market ingredients.

This JCDA is slated to start in Q4 2025 will be carried out over a 6-month period and will include formulation verification with one or several F&B CPG companies, and engineering specification /investment case development. At the conclusion of the JCDA, a decision will be made to construct a NutraCycle process through a multi-party license and operator agreement. The customer in question will pay Carbiotix own cost for the entire project, again demonstrating Carbiotix commitment to cost effectively developing upcycling and fortification opportunities between side-stream owners and F&B CPG companies. I look forward to starting this JCDA project and quickly moving forward to the stage of making a decision on constructing a NutraCycle process and allowing the customer in question to capture more value from their side-stream as both a stand-alone and complementary fortification extract.”
