BYHMGARD AB - REPORT FOR THE SECOND QUARTER 2026
During the second quarter Byhmgard continues to take concreate steps from strategy and project development towards excecution. This is now also becoming more clearly reflected in the Company’s financial performance. Netrevenue reached SEK 31.0 million, compared to SEK 9.3 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Byhmgard continues to make strategic and operational progress in 2026, in line with the Company’s growth plan. During the quarter, the focus remained on converting business opportunities into production, strengthening the project portfolio, and securing financing for ongoing and upcoming projects.
–The transaction with Solarigo Systems Oy has contributed to increased market visibility for Byhmgard. We are seeing growing interest from new potential customers and are currently engaged in discussions regarding several new projects and business opportunities - comments Christian Byhmer, CEO of Byhmgard.
At the end of the quarter, Byhmgard is in a stronger financial position, with a growing project portfolio and a clear position within large-scale energy storage in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The Company continues to work towards its target of realizing a pipeline of approximately 1 GW by 2027.
SUMMARY
Second quarter (1 April – 30 June)
- A Right of First Refusal (RoFR) agreement was entered into with Solarigo Systems Oy, granting Byhmgard a right of first refusal for Solarigo Systems Oy’s BESS projects, including the pilot project in Hitura, Nivala.
- Net sales amounted to SEK 31,029 thousand SEK (9,346)
- Operating profit/loss amounted to SEK -925 thousand SEK (-1,523)
- Profit/loss for the period after tax amounted to SEK -965 thousand (-1,674)
- Earnings per share for the period amounted to SEK -0.00 (-15.68)
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS DURING THE QUARTER
Second quarter (1 April – 30 June)
- On 14 April, the notice convening the 2026 Annual General Meeting was issued. The meeting was held on 13 May at 10:00 a.m. at Sveavägen 50 in Stockholm.
- On 21 April, the 2025 Annual Report was published on Byhmgard’s website.
- On 11 May, Byhmgard entered into a Right of First Refusal (RoFR) agreement with Solarigo Systems Oy concerning a 50 MW battery energy storage project in Hitura, Finland.
- On 13 May, Byhmgard held its Annual General Meeting in Stockholm.
- On 13 May, the Q1 report was published.
- On 21 May, Byhmgard signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CMEC (China Machinery Engineering Corporation) regarding a financing partnership aimed at jointly developing a 1 GW European battery storage portfolio.
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS AFTER THE END OF THE PERIOD
- On 23 July, Byhmgard announced that the Company had entered into discussions with Solarigo Systems Oy regarding the intended acquisition of the rights to the 50 MW “Hitura” energy storage project in Finland, in accordance with the Right of First Refusal (RoFR) agreement announced by the Company on 11 May.
- On 27 July, Byhmgard’s Board of Directors proposed a fully guaranteed rights issue of units amounting to SEK 36 million.
- On 27 July, the notice convening an Extraordinary General Meeting was issued.
- On 13 August, the General Meeting resolved to reduce the share capital without cancellation of shares, carry out an issue of units consisting of shares and warrants with preferential rights for existing shareholders, and increase the share capital through a bonus issue without the issuance of new shares.
- On 17 August, Byhmgard announced that the publication of the interim report for the second quarter had been brought forward to 21 August.
