After six years as President and CEO, Mattias Ankarberg has informed the Board that the is leaving Byggmax Group to assume a CEO position in a different company and industry.

Mattias comments: ”I’ve had an absolutely fantastic time at Byggmax. I’m very proud over the modernization of the company and the customer offer that we have achieved over the last few years, the successful growth initiatives, and the growth journey and strong financial performance that are the results of our work. In particular, I’m grateful for the opportunity to every day work with a fantastic management team and so many driven and competent colleagues. Byggmax is an amazing company with many exciting opportunities, but the new opportunity I was offered was too attractive to pass on.”

Anders Moberg, Chairman of the Board, says: ”During Mattias time, Byggmax has become a much stronger company and is well positioned for the future. Today, Byggmax has a strong low price position, a much broader customer offer than just a few years ago, an ambitious sustainability agenda and record high employee engagement. We move forward from a position of strength, look forward to the future and wish Mattias the best of luck in his next position.”

Mattias will remain in his current position until August 9, 2023.
