CEO Jing Liu comments

“After a slow start to 2026, BPC returned to profitability in the second quarter. Net sales amounted to KSEK 15,025, up from KSEK 12,489 in the first quarter, while EBIT improved to KSEK 1,641, corresponding to a margin of 10.9 percent. Compared with a record-high second quarter last year, net sales decreased by 11 percent. The improvement from Q1 is encouraging, although the performance for the first half is below our expectations. Customer decision-making remains cautious in parts of Europe and North America, although interest in our solutions continues across both biogas and biodegradability.

During the quarter, we completed the move to our new 3,600-square-metre leased facility in Hasslanda, Lund. The relocation required a planned interruption to parts of our operations and temporarily reduced capacity for a few weeks, while having a limited effect on EBIT in related one-off costs. In addition, we received ISO 9001 certification and entered into a three-year collaboration with AURI in the United States. Our priority for the remainder of the year is to make full use of this improved platform, convert market opportunities into financial performance and continue building BPC for sustainable and profitable medium- and long-term growth,” says Jing Liu, CEO of BPC Instruments AB (publ).

Significant events Q2 2026

On 19 May, BPC announced a strategic collaboration with the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (“AURI”) to improve the quality, comparability, and decision-relevance of anaerobic digestion experimentation in the United States. Through a three-year partnership, BPC and AURI will work together to support industrial decision-making and research to help expand new biogas market opportunities.

On 26 May, BPC held the Annual General Meeting of 2026. The AGM resolved to re-elect, Gustaf Olsson, Kristofer Cook, Jing Liu, and to elect Johan Hallberg as a new member of the Board. Gustaf Olsson was re-elected as Chairman of the Board.

On 1 June, BPC began moving into its new 3,600-square-metre leased facility in Hasslanda, Lund. The new site houses the company’s offices, laboratories, production and logistics in one location. The relocation required a planned interruption to parts of the company’s operations and temporarily reduced capacity for a few weeks, while having a limited effect on EBIT in related one-off costs.

On June 10, BPC received ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system. The certification has been issued by RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden.
