Moody’s Ratings affirmed Arion Bank hf.’s (Arion) A2 long-term and P-1 short-term foreign and local currency deposit ratings, the A3 long-term foreign and local currency issuer ratings and A3 senior unsecured rating with stable outlooks on the long-term ratings.

The rating action follows the announcement from Arion that its board of directors has proposed opening merger talks with the board of directors of Íslandsbanki.
